Open source runs underneath modern software. The rising costs of the agentic flood are making it diffcult for many projects we need to keep up.
We want to make it as easy and secure as possible for maintainers to get access to frontier tooling, without paying out of their own pockets.
This project values trust, privacy and security, and is in no rush to get it right. Our goal is to be as helpful as we can, then get out of the way so that maintainers do what they do best.

Why opub
Compute is becoming a cost of maintaining open source. Maintainers shouldn't pay out of pocket to keep up with security issues and vast amount of new input. We'll help find generous donors and provide useful tooling to help them without invading their privacy.
opub's promises are simple: top models, privacy, security, and a permanent public record of donations and spend. The platform makes supportive agentic development free and fun, and gives donors confidence without turning maintainer work into a public record.
