Public donor attribution
The donor recognition metadata shown publicly, separate from private payer and accounting identity.
Public donor attribution is the recognition metadata a donor chooses to show publicly with a donation. It is separate from the private payer, checkout, and account information opub uses for accounting.
In opub, public attribution lets donors support a project visibly without turning billing identity into public profile data. The project can recognize support while keeping private payment details out of the project ledger.
Attribution is not ownership of project work and does not choose how maintainers spend donated compute. It is public recognition attached to support for the project.
